Cournoyer, who cut his teeth on the Providence music scene, has been living in Nashville since 2013.

Cournoyer cut his teeth in the Providence music scene as part of the rock bands The Invite and Northern Lands before moving to Nashville in 2013 to join Runaway Saints, featuring fellow Rhode Islander Johnny Gates.

Recently, he has started his own solo project, I&R, with a revolving cast of musicians. He’ll perform at the Columbus Theatre in Providence on Saturday with singer-songwriter John Faraone and the Mountainess, led by Emily Goldstein.
